Municipality RequestLetter to the Urban Municipality of Ljubljana
Formal request to the Municipality concerning loss of access to Avant2Go after I challenged incorrect mileage charges (600 km per day shown at booking vs 200 km per day applied), which the company later confirmed as an error, followed by immediate termination of my account on the next working day despite four years of prior use.

On 19 March 2026, the Urban Municipality of Ljubljana announced a 20-year concession / public-private partnership with Avant car d.o.o. for Ljubljana's public EV-sharing system. According to the city's announcement, the estimated municipal contribution is approximately €11.4 million over 20 years and the concessionaire's investment approximately €18.7 million.
Why does this matter?
In my view, this public role makes consumer treatment and transparency matters of legitimate public interest:
- Ljubljana's citizens are effectively funding this service through waived parking fees and reduced municipal charges
- The company now operates as a concessionaire delivering a public mobility service with access to designated municipal parking infrastructure under the city concession
- In my experience, the company provided a vehicle that support described as having a known software issue, later refused compensation, and later disputed parts of my account of the incident. My account was terminated the next working day after I raised formal disputes
- The Municipality's reputation is directly tied to how its concessionaire treats the public it serves
This site documents my experience as a consumer with a company that now operates under a municipal concession / public-private partnership.
